Why the dietary restrictions?
Subjects during our early stages of CMO testing had very few dietary restrictions -- just prohibiting alcohol, chocolate, coffee, tea, wheat, and corn. Yet, in general, they did very well. However, some needed additional CMO to reach maximum benefit. And that’s why we suggest the dietary limitations: to derive maximum benefit from just one set of capsules.
Studies and field reports show that most individuals respond more completely and more quickly if they follow the stringent diet. (Strangely, people who eat plenty of meat seem to respond better than vegetarians.) If you are lax about the diet you are more likely to need additional CMO.
For continued healing benefits, stick with the diet for two weeks after finishing your capsules. It’s worth the effort. To avoid weight or energy loss, try eating lots of nuts and drinking lots of thick juices (pear, apricot, carrot, etc), but avoid diarrhea.
How soon for some noticeable benefit ?
Most people sense some improvement within five days. For others it takes ten days or more. Some recover completely in just two days. A few saw almost no improvement until two to four weeks after finishing all their capsules. The difference often depends upon your own healing abilities. CMO serves only to halt the arthritic process, your body has to do its own healing -- and healing abilities vary greatly from one person to another. But usually, maximum benefits are derived by the time the capsules are finished. In many cases of limited response, additional doses of CMO proved quite beneficial.
Are there ways to speed the regeneration of cartilage ?
You can help your body with the regeneration of cartilage by taking Knox gelatin, chicken cartilage, glucosamine with chondroitin, etc. These substances do not reverse the arthritic process, but they do provide an abundance of the basic molecules that are necessary for your body to manufacture new cartilage. It’s best to take them before, during, and after your CMO program. Follow the label instructions or consult your nutritionist, doctor, or health food store manager. You could take all of them, but just one type will do. Effects vary greatly between individuals, but glucosamine- chondroitin combinations usually work best. Still, Knox unflavored gelatin does very well -- and it’s a lot cheaper. Just mix one packet in some drink (like juice) or in your soup twice a day. Have it with your meals.
Can additional CMO bring additional benefit ?
For one mature woman, a very severe case, one bottle brought only a 15% improvement. Instead of being discouraged, she was delighted. Nothing else had helped her in ten years. So she ordered another bottle. It took three bottles to finally achieve the results she wanted -- an 80% overall improvement and virtually total relief from the nasty pains in her neck and in her worst afflicted joint (the left knee) .
Strangely, out of tens of thousands, there have been about twenty cases where CMO actually made symptoms worse. Of these, all but two found relief by taking additional CMO.
Constipation and diarrhea.
Diarrhea will wash CMO out before it can be absorbed. It must be avoided. Constipation can usually be controlled in just a few days with generous portions of juices, salads, and cooked or raw vegetables at every meal.
SO, WHAT CAN I EAT ?
Lean meats (esp. beef), fish (esp. sardines, salmon, mackerel, albacore), poultry, eggs. People who eat beef seem to respond better than those who don’t. (Avoid organ meats, duck, goose, shellfish.) Eat asparagus, alfalfa, beets, bokchoy,brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, celery, chard, collards, cucumber, endive, fennel, garlic, leafy greens, greenbeans, honey, kale, leeks, lettuce, molasses, mushrooms, napa, okra, onion, parsnips, pickles, pumpkin, seaweeds, squash, spinach, turnips, watercress, zucchini, & all fruits, melons, berries, and nuts. Foods in italics are remedial. Keep taking glutathione, omega oils (fish & flax), glucosamine, chondroitin, Knox gelatin, chicken (not shark) cartilage, vitamins (esp. B, D, E, C, & bioflavanoids), EFAs, minerals (esp. magnesium, manganese, and boron) etc. Drink at least eight glasses of water spaced through the day.
